This case refers to the EWC`s rights to be informed and consulted. On December 1, 2006, merged two big concerns, Alcatel and Lucent Technologies. This decision costs loss of 12. 500 jobs in Europe in the next two years. Alcatel have not consulted prior its EWC on the restricting plan. The court ruling day was supposed to be April 27, 2007.
