Title: Portugal: UGT confederation calls for enforcement of the growth and employment chapter of the social dialogue agreement of January 2012

Joao Proença, general secretary of the UGT, the General Workers' Union, is raising his voice. He is calling for the respect of the terms of the tripartite agreement signed on January 18 by the government, employers and his confederation. He notably points to the measures for the economy, employment, and training, which the government has yet to implement, unlike aspects linked with the labor law reform. The UGT isn't planning any concrete action but is sounding the alarm on the possibility that social dialogue might break. (Ref. 120290)
