Title: Areva: EWC denounces bad sales conditions for workers at its T&D branch

The day after the announcement of the sale of Areva's Transmission & Distribution branch to the Alstom/Schneider Electric duo, the staff representatives of the European works council (EWC) of the nuclear group said that they were still clearly opposed to this sale and that they were going to keep on fighting. They think that choosing this duo is the least interesting economic solution and the most dangerous for employees. Since last June, the EWC is everywhere to try and avoid this sale which it deems useless given the company's financing capacities, and denounces the threat to the integrated approach which characterizes the company.
