(28 April 2009) Veolia Environment is undergoing a number of changes. These include a new geographical structure (regions) and a method to work in a more horizontal manner between different branches. This is leading to so-called shared services centers (SSC). EWC members raised many questions on the implications of SSC for employment, collective agreement and the risks for outsourcing and off-shoring. Discussions will continue.
Other issues considered where the financial and economic position of the company (especially the waste division is impacted by the economic crisis) and health and safety.
