The Special Negotiating Body of Veolia Environment met for the first time 14-15 September 2004. The SNB brings together representatives of almost all EU countries (Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Lithuania, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, UK) plus Norway and Romania. The company has over 185.000 employees in Europe and more then 240.000 worldwide. It employs workers in waste (Onyx), energy services (Dalkia), water (Veolia water) and transport (Connex). EPSU and ETF provide support to the SNB.
