UNI Europa TAW has started implementing the project “Promoting European Works Councils in the Private Employment Agencies" funded by the European Commission.
The project’s main objective is to build employees' representatives networks in the main private employment agencies. This objective will be achieved by the organisation of a series of meetings for employee representatives in the targeted PEAs (Adecco, Manpower and Randstad).
The first Project Steering Group (PSG) meeting took place in Brussels on October 7. PSG members discussed the situation in the present employees' information and consultation bodies in Adecco and Randstad and planned some events to strengthen trade union presence in these structures.
In the framework of the project, a few meetings of trade union representatives in the targeted companies as well as a workshop on EWCs and the final conference are foreseen.
