EWC of Metro must be fully consulted on impact of centralisation project CORA on Workers
We, the 250 participants at the UNI Europa Commerce Conference in Madrid on 9 and 10 June 2011, discussed information presented during the conference on the CORA Project.
We are very concerned with the inconsistent and late information given to the Euroforum and that this project seems to be going into its first phase of implementation in Germany without a deep analysis of the impact the changes will have on corporate functions and the employees concerned in Germany and in all other countries where Metro Group is operating.
We are calling on you to do stop the implementation of the project until such time when its impact on employment and possible job losses have been deeply analysed and fully discussed with the employees globally concerned.
