For the 6th time in a row, the Confederation of German Trade Unions (DGB) revealed, on September 14th, its "2011 Annual Report on Cooperative Education" (Ausbildungsreport 2011), which evaluates the quality of cooperative learning offered in Germany. The first observation is that most trainees are satisfied with their training but there are still striking loopholes. The DGB concluded that, while German businesses keep complaining of the lack of skilled trainees and employees, they have not improved the quality of training offered. (Ref. 110543)
