On September 15th, the Parliament validated a new chapter of the Labor reform. The decree contains a series of emergency measures encouraging youth employment, prolongs the EUR 400 subsidy for jobseekers about to lose their rights and, most importantly, suspends the provision of the Statute of Workers which restricts appeal to consecutive temporary contracts. The opposition and unions vividly criticized this last measure. (Ref. 110547)
