Ten years after the creation of the Verdi services union, born from the merger of five unions, Frank Bsirske was reelected as its leader on September 19th, in the middle of the Congress organized between September 17th and September 24th. The day before, the union's leader presented a positive report of his organization's work and pointed to victories won at Schlecker or Lidl, notably. However, in terms of membership, the report isn't as brilliant: Verdi keeps loosing more members than it gains. In 2012, Verdi wants to fight, among other things, for equal treatment between temporary and permanent workers, enhanced working conditions and the introduction of statutory minimum wage.
