In recent weeks, the Chamber of Deputies of Czech Parliament discussed and approved the material amendment to the Labour Code. Its main contribution should be greater flexibility in employment relationships and increase in motivation of employers for creating new jobs. The amendment is expected to come into effect on 1 January 2012 and bring many significant changes affecting areas such as fixed-term employment, severance pay or even working hours.
