News memo
At the end of January, Banco Popolare and the trade unions signed a groundbreaking agreement allowing employees to take a sabbatical for 3-7 months and the bank to save on management costs. What's new is that, instead of suspending pay, the beneficiaries will receive income support from the sectoral solidarity fund. Unions say this is an excellent agreement because it shields workers from the traumatic impact of the crisis. (Ref. 120093)
