On January 12, after two years of negotiations, Hewlett Packard Italiana (HPI) signed agreement, with Filcams-CGIL and the coordination of unitary trade union representative bodies (RSUs), renewing the collective agreement expired since October 31, 1990, which affects 2,500 employees. "In a rather dreary economic landscape for the IT market, this agreement is a very good thing" declared Christian Sesena, national Filcams-CGIL national secretary. He pointed out that this agreement "secures the existing conventional capital which, from a normative point of view, was one of the most advanced in the sector." Novelties include enhanced prerogatives for employee representatives, defining telework conditions, or even reforming the bonus, where the variable part is only backed by productivity and growth in the company.
