On 3 April 2012, Guidelines for the Social Contract 2012-2016 have been concluded between the social partners. At the end of the process, six of the key union organizations refused to sign the agreement reached on March 30, as a way to reject the savings measures recently proposed by the government. These guidelines will serve as a basis for the social partners' negotiations for the Social Contract 2012-2016. they notably address issues of competitiveness, the State, public finance, wage policy and social protection.
