On April 26, PSA Peugeot-Citroën Vigo's works council adopted, with an absolute majority, the agreement enforcing the "substantial amendment to the working conditions" proposed by the company's management for the coming months. While the law will allow the company, because of its economic difficulties, to unilaterally organize working time, it signed, with the employee representatives and the trade unions, an agreement supervising work on Saturday as replacement for another day of the week. This agreement was validated by UGT, Workers' Commissions and SIT, the independent union of Citroen workers. CIG, the nationalist union of Galicia, refused to sign. (Ref. 120291)
