About ten days after a first collective agreement for the 16,500 employees of Deutsche Telekom AG's (DTAG) headquarters, the Verdi services union announced, on May 7, that it signed another agreement, this time for the 50,000 people working for Telekom Deutschland GmbH (private telecom), the group's largest unit. The two agreements are very much alike. Like their colleagues at the headquarters, Telekom Deutschland staff will get a 6.5 percent wage increase over two years divided in three. Last open case: the collective negotiations for T-Systems (corporate telecom and international operations), which will resume on May 15-16. (Ref. 120299)
