The divide is growing within metalworkers' unions. Yesterday, June 13, Fim-Cisl and Uilm-Uil presented their joint platform for the 2013-2015 renewal of the metal CCN (which covers over 1.5 million workers), born from the separate agreement signed in 2009 by these unions and the Federmeccanica and Assistal employers' organizations. They are calling for an average EUR 150 increase, and new measures on work-life balance and employee participation. For its part, the Fiom-CGIL still wants to renew the 2008 CCN, the only one it considers as valid. (Ref. 120397)
