Despite the current adverse atmosphere in the Spanish building sector, the Spanish subsidiary of the multinational HOLCIM, whose core business includes manufacturing and distributing building materials, signed, on April 25, an Equal Opportunity Plan with the workers' representatives. The plan covers all business areas and will be in force until 2016. José Luis López Pérez, from FECOMA-CCOO, the union which represents most of the workers in HOLCIM Spain, has been heavily involved in the implementation of this plan. He tells Planet Labor about the significance of this milestone in promoting equal opportunities within the company. (Ref. 120446)
