In 2010, the carmaker decided to bring the German apprenticeship system to its Russian site, in Kaluga. Now, Volkswagen Group Rus, the carmaker's Russian subsidiary, offers 5 work-study training courts. The auto group has adopted a similar approach in other countries. In the long run, it wants to bring the German system to its 94 production sites in the world, all the while adapting it to the specificities of the existing education systems.
