Part-time, long-term time savings accounts, promotion of female labor, corporate childcare, telework, sabbaticals, job sharing... the German carmaker signed, in 2000, with its central works council, about half a dozen company agreements improving work-life balance for its employees. The employees really like these agreements, even in production. For instance, in Wörth, at the Mercedes Benz site, where only 4 percent of the 7,600 production employees were women in 2010, the success of these measures shows that work-life balance is no longer a theme that only affects women and office staff.
