On Thursday, September 27, the management of Goodyear Dunlop Tires France (GDTF) withdrew its voluntary leave transfer program, a solution it agreed to with the employee representatives after a trial of strength dating back to 2008 over the site's restructuring plan. "The negotiations led to an exemplary system" management declared, adding that it was forced to contemplate other solutions for the site, knowing that "none of them will bring the1,200 Amiens-Nord employees and their families the advantages and security they would have had with voluntary leave." In spite of particularly advantageous measures for most employees, employee representatives through that the fate of employees working for the agricultural tire branch sold to Titan was not secure enough.
