Yesterday, October 23, the College of Commissioners adopted its 2013 Work Program. Every year, we detail the (few) measures that affect the labor world. This year, the news is quite different: in 2013, the Commission has no "social" agenda in addition to the introduction of a European network to boost workers' mobility and the introduction of "the right framework for the institutions handling occupational pensions." This program distinguishes itself because of the absence of vision on employment and labor but mostly shows that the Commission is almost out of breath. Besides, yesterday's meeting was also the end of the initiative aimed at introducing a 40-percent quota for women on boards - at least the mandatory part. (Ref. 120631)
