Affected by the economic crisis, the largest truck manufacturer in Europe, MAN, stopped production for one week on October 29 for two German sites, in Munich and Salzgitter. This measure should affect around 15,000 employees. The management and works council are bargaining to suspend production again for three weeks at the end of the year. In doing so, the German company is hoping to adjust production while avoiding layoffs. (Ref. 120640)
