On Monday, November 19, the European Parliament's Committee on Employment and Social Affairs adopted the own-initiative report prepared by Spanish MEP Alejandro Cercas (S&D) on the anticipation of change and socially responsible restructurings. If the Parliament adopts the report, the European Commission will have to adopt a proposal after consulting the European social partners, or it will have to explain its grounds for refusing.
