The airline's unions called for work stoppages on December 14, 17, 18, 19, 20 and 21 to object to the plan presented by Iberia management cutting over 25 percent of the staff and 25-35 percent pay cuts. This is one of the biggest social plans released in Spain since the crisis began. Unions are calling for a long-term sustainability program for the former public company taken over by British Airways in 2010. They are afraid that IAG, the holding created after the merger, is preparing to dismantle Iberia. (Ref. 120710)
