News memo
On December 5, after "four months bargaining and not a single hour of strike," and "one month early," the Fim and Uilm unions signed, with the Federmeccanica employers' organization, the agreement renewing the metal CCN, which only affects 1.6 million employees now. The Fiom-CGIL, which wasn't invited to negotiate, says that this second separate agreement is "only good for businesses." It appealed in court and maintained the two-hour national strike started on Wednesday. (Ref. 120722)
