Yesterday, Thursday, December 13, the management and central works council of the German carmaker Porsche presented the outline of an agreement allowing some of the production staff to work 34 hours a week instead of 35 with no pay cut. At the same time, engineers at the R&D center may work up to 40 hours a week, with the corresponding salary. Porsche is also introducing several forms of temporary flexible working time for employees to enjoy more work-life balance. Finally, agency workers will get equal pay and easier access to permanent employment. (Ref. 120747)
