Iberia management and the CCOO, UGT Sitcpla, USO and CTA-Vuelo unions called on the intermediation and arbitration interconfederal service (SIMA) to redefine the bargaining framework for the 2013-2017 viability plan of the former public airline, bought by British Airways in 2010. The announced 4,500 layoffs are no longer a prerequisite and the management promised that the investments included in the final agreement would mirror the objectives. Iberia's unions canceled the strike notice. (Ref. 120753)
