Published this Wednesday, the European Commission's 2012 Employment and Social Developments in Europe Review points to a growing divergence of wealth between the EU's Member States. Unemployment rate has reached record levels in the eurozone (11.8%), especially in the periphery, i.e. Southern and Eastern Europe. In the EU17, nearly one in four youngsters under 25 years old is without a job (24.4%). (Ref. 130018)
