The Fiteqa-CCOO and Fitag-UGT union federations signed, with the FEIQUE employers' organization, an agreement in principle for the 17th general agreement in the chemical industry (CCIG 2012-14). It provides for a pay freeze in 2013 and a 0.2-0.4% increase in 2014 depending on the evolution of GDP, as well as a review clause indexed on harmonized CPI in the eurozone. This agreement marks the return to union unity and will be formally ratified by the social partners in the 3rd week of January after the end of the ongoing information and validation procedure within the two union organizations.
