Already affected by several repeated crises, the German manufacturing giant, ThyssenKrupp, is now facing another case. On January 11, the Handelsblatt economic daily reported that ThyssenKrupp repeatedly offered first-class trips to employee representatives on the board to Asia, America or even more exotic countries like Cuba. Besides, Bertin Eichler, VP of the board and member of the IG-Metall's management, was allegedly invited to a Formula 1 race in Shanghai, in the company's private box. He immediately announced, on Friday, January 11, that he wouldn't run for office again at the board's next employee representatives election in 2013. (Ref. 130025)
