On October 18, 2013, after 6 months bargaining, Securitas AB, the Swedish private security organization which operates in 51 countries and employs 300,000 people, signed a new global framework agreement with UNI Global Union and Transportarbetareförbundet, the Swedish transport workers' union. This agreement makes a lot of progress in social and union terms and should become a reference for other stakeholders in the sector. The final text was only published recently, which is why we didn't publish a commentary sooner. (Ref. 130034)
