Nissan Motor Ibérica unions and management failed to reach a new social agreement paving the way for new industrial projects with the manufacture of a new car and the creation of 1,000 jobs at the Zona Franca site in Barcelona as well as 3,000 jobs in the auxiliary industry. Before investing, the management wants to sign a competitiveness plan which includes introducing a two-tier wage system for new employees, adding two days to annual working time and cutting breaks.
