On January 22, Confindustria Energia for employers and Filctem Cgil, Femca Cisl and Uilcem Uil for unions signed an agreement renewing the national collective agreement of the energy and oil industry, which covers nearly 35,000 workers. Novelties include removing periodical seniority increases, reviewing shift pay and giving more weight to local collective agreements. This agreement also defines the modalities of the next national collective agreement in the energy industry. The agreement, which will run between January 1, 2013 and December 31, 2015, will have to be validated by February 26, after consulting workers. (Ref. 130058)
