On February 1, SLC-CGIL, Fistel-Cisl and Uilcom-Uil for unions and Assotelecomunicazioni-Asstel for employers signed a unitary agreement renewing the telecom collective agreement, which had expired on December 31, 2011 and covers about 160,000 workers. The agreement provides for the introduction of social clauses in subcontracting contracts, gives workers guarantees in the event the subcontractor changes, supervises remote monitoring of employees and adds flexibility to part-time work legislation. Signed for three years (2012-2014), the agreement will soon be sent to workers for approval. (Ref. 130087)
