Iberia unions issued a two-week strike notice, between February 18 and March 22, after the arbitration meeting on the negotiations for the social plan presented by the company at the end of 2012 failed. Unions are objecting to the paralysis of the debate and denouncing the management's lack of interest in finding common ground for a sustainability program acceptable for both parties. They claim British Airways' interests are given preference over the interests of the Spanish airline. (Ref. 130096)
