In a Manifesto uploaded on February 19 on the European Trade Union Institute's website and initiated by the Transnational Trade Union Rights Experts Network (TTUR), lawyers from across Europe are expressing their concerns as to the impact of the austerity measures adopted in the EU. They remind European leaders of the requirements brought about by European and international standards when reforming their labor markets. Over the past three years, unions have been making more and more requests to European and international institutions in charge of monitoring compliance with social standards. They are accusing the measures adopted within the framework of labor market reforms. (Ref. 130123)
