The social partners in the construction industry successfully launched, on February 20, a series of collective negotiations for the entire construction branch, as well as the wood and ceramics sectors. All these negotiations will take place between February 20 and May 1, 2013 and cover 240,000 people. Yesterday, the two employers' organizations in the sector (Bundesinnung Bau and Fachverband der Bauindustrie) and the Bau-Holz union quickly reached an agreement for a 3.1% annual increase for 90,000 employees, even though economic forecasts for 2013 are down.
