Autoeuropa, Volkswagen's factory in Lisbon, is going to grant a 1.6% wage increase in 2013, following the collective agreement unanimously adopted by the employees. This wage increase, much higher than inflation (around 1%) is the lowest in ten years in this plant, considered as a 'social lab.' In the energy industry, EDP (Energia de Portugal) is to give a 1.6% wage increase. On top of that, Galp (gas/petrochemical industry) is going to give its 3,800 workers an extraordinary bonus.
