The management of the Genk plant was satisfied after 71.7% of the workers approved, on Friday night, the social plans signed by the trade unions last week. In the carmaker's subcontracting firms, a majority of workers also ratified the draft social agreement they received. With this agreement, the Mondeo, S-Max and Galaxy models should be produced again starting on Monday and until the end of 2014, when the site should close. The agreement provides for a single bonus for 'continuing work,' incentives to voluntary leave as well as early retirement. (Ref. 130183)
