Starting from 1 January 2015 a new EWC agreement enters into force for the Dana group. It is based on the new EU Directive’s standards, whereby the number of representatives could almost be doubled. The steering committee could also be enlarged from three to five members. The EWC established in 2000 has its headquarters in Essen, Germany (photo), where it normally holds its annual meeting. In the future a second plenary meeting can be held each year in another country. Central management has committed to inform the EWC as early as possible for enabling decision-changing discussions and consultation. Consultation has the goal of achieving "a mutually agreed solution as rapidly as possible". The new EWC agreement was concluded with the assistance of the EWC Academy and there was also a seminar on the subject in December 2012
