trade union leaders from around the world represented by IndustriAll and Building and Woodworkers' International met with representatives of the cement group LafargeHolcim on January 23 to launch the process of drafting a global framework agreement which focuses on fundamental rights, health and safety, information exchange and conflict resolution, and sub-contracting. The objective is to set up also a global committee that will link to the group's European Works Wouncil.
