AXA Group’s Trade Union Alliance UNI Europa Finance, which brings together a majority of the Group’s Trade Unions, is denouncing attacks on the social rights of AXA Group workers. The AXA Group Focus and Transform plan’s objective is to save 2.2 billions of euros by 2020. After the announcement of around 650 job cuts in Belgium, restructuring plans in Germany and UK, it’s now in France that a radical change in the social policy is done. On 26 january 2017 has been denounced with unilateral way by the AXA management an agreement existing since 2000 on the TSA- Time Saving Account in all the companies of the AXA Group in France. This agreement gave all workers the opportunity to keep up to 15, even 22 leave days per year in a time saving account. It’s the first time that France (cradle of AXA Group) is undergoing such an attack on its workers social achievements : the brutality of this amendment has led all the AXA Group Trade unions in France to be allied against this project. The trade union alliance demands the Group management and its french subsidiary to prove they intend to preserve quality in the social dialogue, true to the commitments they have in France and anywhere else. In this time of change, workers cannot be used as an adjustment variable. The Alliance is totally supporting them.
