At its plenary meeting on 14-15 December 2016, the European works council presented the work on subcontracting carried out by its three working parties (employment, health & safety and sustainable development) and the resultant recommendations, such as the drawing up at each site of a subcontractors' charter and the adoption of an action plan to reduce the number of fatal accidents at work.
