The EFFAT Coca-Cola Coordination Group, made up of national trade union officers, senior shop stewards and members of national and European Works Councils representing the Coca-Cola workforce employed at Coca-Cola European Partners (CCEP), The Coca-Cola Company, and Coca-Cola Hellenic Bottling Company, met in Berlin on 8-9 March 2017. During the meeting the delegates discussed the future role of the CCEP EWC. Moreover, the Group talked about the restructuring plan that is taking place in Germany as well as the critical situation at the Fuenlabrada plant near Madrid. A resolution was adopted to express solidarity and support to the workers in Fuenlabrada and in the rest of Spain, as well as to all those in other parts of Europe where Coca-Cola employees have lost their jobs as a consequence of initiatives aimed at boosting productivity.
