Airbus - SE Works Council gives opinion on Gemini project

Airbus: On 27 February, the Airbus SE Works Council gave its opinion on the Gemini project relating to the absorption of the Airbus Group by Airbus SAS on 1st July 2017. The information & consultation process, launched in October 2016, will have required 11 extraordinary meetings of the Works Council for this project that affects nearly 8,000 employees. The opinion is based on an expert report which will be made available to all national bodies representing staff. Beyond a simple reorganization, the project focuses on: 1. "A radical change in the research and technology strategy and its management" - for which the Works Council insists that it be kept in the EU. 2. The impact of digitalisation on all functions. 3. The merger of the support functions of Airbus Commercial and Airbus Group. The notice underlines the guarantees or modifications obtained by the Works Council.
