Intesa Sanpaolo has initiated its ‘Minotaure’ project, which will see the Italian banking giant employ people on a part-time basis, allowing them to spend the rest of their time working as independent financial advisers. This arrangement represents a sizeable innovation in Italy and it will be subject to a period of experimentation, lasting two years. It has been introduced as part of the company’s protocol for “sustainable development”, which has been agreed with trade unions.
