The Italian company Saipem, specialized in research and oil drilling, has signed an agreement on the installation of a European Works Council covering the employees in the European Economic Area. The nomination and election process for representatives of Saipem's subsidiaries in Europe took place this summer. The members will have a mandate of three years. The first meeting of the EWC will take place in autumn.
