Shortly after its German pilots went on strike for a full day on Wednesday, low-cost airline Ryanair is set to face another European stoppage, with European cabin staff to go on strike on 28 September. A strike of similar scale was organised in August, which led to some 400 flight cancellations, affecting more than 55,000 passengers. Belgian, Spanish, Italian, Dutch and Portuguese trade unions decided in a meeting held in Brussels to intensify their movement, demanding in particular that their employment contracts be subject to the legislation of their country of residence
