The select committee of the Generali EWC held an extraordinary meeting on 2 October to discuss the GOSPEL project, whose objective is to create a new company designed to harmonise IT infrastructures and speed up the digital transformation. Following the meeting, the council published a press release for all group employees, to explain the project to them. This is an example of good practice, as set out in Article 10 para. 2 of Directive 2009/38/EC, which invites the members of a European Works Council to inform the representatives of the employees at local level or the workforce as a whole “of the content and outcome of the information and consultation procedure”. The procedure is ongoing.
